Vicente Martin Paredes Obituary

Vicente (Vince) Martin Paredes of Hollister, CA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, after a long battle with illness on November 8th, 2021.

Vince is survived by his loving mother Josefa “Pepi” Paredes, sister Carmen Graves and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Daniel Paredes.

Vince was born on November 12th, 1951 in Spain. In 1957 he and his mother immigrated to California. Vince is a lifelong resident of Hollister, CA where he has always remained close to family and friends. He graduated from University of California, Berkeley “Go Bears” with a degree in Political Science. He spent much of his career in procurement across many different companies. He was a long-time member of Sociedad Española de San Benito.

During his lifetime Vince had many hobbies, but some of the things that brought him the most joy were sailing on his sailboat, watching the Cal Bears, going for long rides on his Harley with the boys and most importantly his family. In his own words “I love my family more than my life” and this could not have been more true. To have known Vince was to be loved by Vince.

The family would like to thank San Benito Home Health and all their nurses for taking such good care of Vince. A special thank you to Janet and Melissa for treating him with an immense amount of compassion and being more than a nurse, being a friend.
