Obituary of Jonathan Maciel

Jonathan Maciel passed away October 5, 2021 at the age of 19 in Salinas California. Jonathan was born in Phoenix, Arizona on January 30, 2002. He attended San Benito High School in Hollister and graduated in the year of 2020. He worked as a manager, cook, and cashier for McDonalds, Tacobell, and Applebees restaurants for as long as four years. He enjoyed going to the beach, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. Jonathan was a son, brother, and cousin. He was a good son who always had a smile on his face. He was a person who would go out of his way to help out anyone, even if you had just met him; that's how genuine he was. Jonathan had the most kind hearted soul ever. As the oldest sibling he would take care of his brother and sister, and always put them first. He would never complain or argue about it. His heart was so warm he would cheer you up with just his hugs and kisses. His hugs were so tight you lost a breathe of air. Jonathan will always be remembered for his huge smile and kind heart. Jonathan is survived by his Father, Leobardo Maciel; Mother, Maria Ortega; Sister, Jazmine Maciel; Brother, Leobardo Maciel Jr.; Uncles, Juan Maciel (Sandra), Vemi Ortega, Cristobal Ortega, Memo Ortega, Alfredo Zendejas (Angelica); Aunts, Patricia Castro and Yesenia Maciel. He is preceded in death by his Uncles, Rosario Ortega and Antonio Ortega. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 12th from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. On Wednesday October 13th, family and friends will meet at St. Benedict Church at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of the Resurrection. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
