Obituary of Elsie L. Scagliotti

Elsie Sabbatini Scagliotti passed away on September 19th, 2021 after a long and good life. She was born in 1918 as the Spanish Flu pandemic was raging and she leaves us amid this new Covid pandemic. Elsie is survived by her sister Armeda Dooling. Often, they were seen socializing and shopping or playing scrabble together. It was widely recognized that Elsie loved clothes, jewelry, beautiful plates and figurines. Mostly, she loved shopping for them! Flower gardening was her joy, especially geraniums. She loved golf, the 49ers and Jeopardy. She also loved a good party, especially dancing. Elsie married Harry Scagliotti in 1944. They remained devoted to each other until his death in 2008. They had two children; Randall Harry Scagliotti and Nancy Sue Scagliotti. They gave her five granddaughters: Christine Scagliotti, Darien Fleming, Susanna Alway, Abby Alway and Sara Rosenstock. In 2002, the first great-grandchild was born, Aidan Franklin. He was followed by Elle and Bayla Rosenstock and Nico Alway. Elsie also had numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly and who helped her tremendously when needed. Elsie spent her life devoted to family and home. She was with us so long that she seemed invincible; “A force to be reckoned with”. We will miss her dearly and will always love her.
