My name is Jeannie Ledford.. Charrie Cheshire was my kindergarten teacher in 1976-77
She was an unforgettable teacher. My parents Elwood and Toney were teachers in Hollister. My parents knew Dick and Charrie since my Dad was head basketball coach for the Hollister Balers until being replaced by John Becerra in 1979. May Charrie rest in peace.

She was a wonderful and sweet lady, so enjoyed our rehearsals at your mom's house, where she was helping the kids with their homework, while still listening to us, and always supportive. Teachers often never get their dues (praise) for all the good work they do. Mrs. Cheshire was a remarkable educator, not only teaching the important basics but she taught and reinforced how important it was to be a good citizen. How do I know this, she taught 4 of my 5 children. I am so grateful for her love and dedication. My deepest and sincere condolences to the family.

I remember moving to Hollister in the 2nd grade and was put in Mrs. Cheshire's class. As a shy and scared little girl, she was so nice to me and made me feel welcome. She even had her daughter Charrie, and her friends Melanie and Rene' befriend and include me at lunch and recess. We stayed friends all thru school. Mrs. Cheshire was a great teacher and one of my favorites. She will be missed. My sympathy and and condolences to the family.
