Harlan was always the life of every party, and most of us had difficulty keeping up with him. He loved to travel and made several trips with my parents. Visiting his home was always a treat, as we were on the go from morning to night with every activity he could find to share with us. He had outrageous jokes, a no nonsense approach to politics, and was devoted to family and country.
Rest easy for a bit, Uncle, then give them hell in heaven.
