Randy Sosa

Obituary of Randy Alexander Sosa

Randy Alexander Sosa passed away at his place of residence on June 27, 2021 at the age of 14. My darling son went to God’s arms as a result of a long hard battle with cancer, which was extremely difficult for him and all who loved him. Randy gained his angel wings and peacefully went home to Jesus on June 27, 2021 at the age of 14. Randy spent most of his short life battling cancer, and he was a fighter until the end. Though his time with me and family was short, he touched many lives and was loved deeply by those around him. We never know why God takes someone home in spite of our desire to have them here, and although it is often said we will get the answers of here when we get there, at that time it truly won’t matter. We will get to hold one another forever then, and that is the light at the end of my tunnel. Randy was born in Gilroy on November 18, 2006. He was educated at Cerra Vista and Rancho San Justo Schools. He was looking forward to starting San Benito High school in the fall and becoming a Baler. He was a gentle and kind soul. Randy was good at math, but his passion was reading. He also enjoyed science and chess. Randy participated in the Gifted Games every year and competed in the distance run. He loved the outdoors especially, going for a swim and riding motorcycles with family. He was an avid collector of cars, such as monster trucks, Hot Wheels and 18 wheelers. In addition to his collection of cars, Randy loved going to the Monster Jam shows. Randy loved what most 14-year-old boys do, playing video games with his cousins, watching videos on YouTube, and enjoyed listening to all genres of music such as AC/DC, Ed Sheeran, and Cumbias. How can I really write here all that Randy truly was? The house is quieter as the video games and music have stopped. God truly did indeed add another angel to Heaven. Those who shared life with Randy, here with broken hearts include, his loving mom Lupita Silva and dad Randy Sosa, his brother Anthony Sosa, grandparents Gloria & Alfredo Silva, uncles Freddy Silva, Richard Lujan, Roy Sosa, Albert Sosa and aunts Marlene Silva, Lizbeth Silva, Alma Sosa, Nora Sosa, Mary Sosa, Maricela Sosa and Jennifer Anissa Sosa. Randy is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family. Randy was preceded in death by his brother Andrew Sosa and grandparents Albert & Olivia Sosa. My son, I don’t know how we will do each day without you here. Abundant, wonderful memories of you are branded in our hearts. But I do know, God will carry us and give us the strength. Mijo, prepare a place for me in Heaven. Have fun and play until I see you again! Nothing can separate love. Because of this, we will always be connected. You were truly an incredible unique son and I was blessed to have you for 14 years. I Love You my pollito, my chinito, my tough cookie. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. On Monday, family and friends will meet at St. Benedict Church at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of the Resurrection. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Reception to follow at McAlpine Lake & Park 900 Anzar Rd SJB Ca 95045.
