Oh Susan! So sorry to hear of your heartache! I didn't know your mom, but "mom's" are special people and I'm sure she was as well! I see her smile in this picture and it reminds me of you. Sounds like she was a very loved individual and will certainly be missed! Our condolences go out to you and your family!

Our deepest sympathies to your family. Eileen was my mom's roommate at Mabie for a short time, then a neighbor down the hall. I always loved stopping by to talk to her when I visited Mom. She was such a nice lady! I hope your memories of happy times with her bring you comfort and peace during this difficult time.

Nana Eileen was more than a step mother, she was a very big part of our lives. It wasn't easy in the beginning accepting another woman coming into our lives after our mother. But one day at a time she showed us her love for all of us. Although she could never take the place of our mother she opened her heart to my little brothers and sister she was there with her loving smile, words of endurement, never forgetting a birthday living up to be great "nana" grandmother to my nieces and nephews. Truely available and irreplaceable part of our family. She was a great wife to my father and mother to my brother, for that we will always have her engraved in our hearts as someone who loved us unconditionally and for that we too loved her so so much!!!
Step mom,mom, friend is not a good way to describe what you meant to all of us
We will see you again someday soon

Allow us to celebrate the wonderful life of our beautiful stepmother. Eileen was a wonderful addition to our family at a time when we needed her the most.
Thank you for your help in raising me from the age of 10, loving my father, treating and accepting us as your own. You were always so generous, loving and dressed so beautifully. I will miss your amazing smile and kind ways. It's hard to believe your gone. It was wonderful having you in our lives.

I will always have a special place in my heart for Auntie Eileen... she was so kind to me. I spent a lot of time with her when I was little, she always made me feel wanted, and I can remember her explaining to me why good penmanship was so important. Writing thank you notes was special she use to say and people need to know they are special. Always say something meaningful to them so they know you care were her words of wisdom. I attribute much of my writing today because of her wise words of wisdom. I loved her laugh... she was so precise about her home, being neat, her appearance. Attractive, as all of her sister where, I recall eating peaches at the Gilroy Ranch of her parents and everyone always seemed to be having so much fun. God speed Auntie.. you are in heaven laughing with Jesus now.
