Obituary of Sara Clara Leonetti

Sara Leonetti peacefully passed away Friday morning at the age of 91 at her home in Campbell, California. She was born in 1930 in Gilroy and lived in San Jose and Hollister prior to moving to Campbell in 2015. Early in life, she worked in the family grocery store in San Jose and went on to graduate from San Jose High School. She met, and later married Fred Leonetti in 1954 and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage together. While raising a family, Sara began working for the Santa Clara Unified School district where she was a School Aide for over 10 years. Retirement took Sara and Fred to Hollister where they lived in the Ridgemark Golf and Country Club Community and were members of the Immaculate Conception Church. Though Sara devoted much of her time to her children, her life also revolved around family and friends. Her spare time consisted of things that she loved, such as cooking, walking, and working in her garden. Sara is survived by her son Rich Leonetti of Campbell and sister Ann Rocha of Hollister. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends may gather at the Immaculate Conception Church in Tres Pinos, Tuesday, June 29 to attend the funeral Mass commencing at 11:00am.
