Ralph Eugene Patterson (Gene), 72, of Hollister, California, went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2025

at 10:30 am in Pleasanton, CA. He was surrounded by loved ones. Memorial Services will be determined

at a later date.

Ralph (Gene) was born in Mesa, Arizona, on November 13, 1952, to Ralph Daniel Patterson and Anna

Helen Patterson. After Gene's parents moved to Salinas, CA, in 1958, Gene attended Alisal High School

where he played football and graduated. Gene grew up playing sports and enjoyed playing baseball at a

young age. He was offered to play in a minor league, but because of his young age and not wanting to

leave his family, he decided not to. He chose to stay in Salinas, CA. Gene was a dedicated builder who

spent his career in construction, “Founding and shaping communities” through his work pouring

concrete. His legacy lives on in the foundations he poured and the structures he’s helped build.

Gene is survived by his daughters Anna M Patterson of Hollister, CA, and Tabitha J Shores(Brennan

Shores) of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, stepdaughters Tiffany Martell and Stephanie Edwards (Todd

Edwards of Crescent City, California. His sister Phyllis A. Patterson of Sacramento, CA, his brother Jack D

Patterson (Loraine Patterson) of Colorado Springs, CO. Gene is also survived by his grandchildren, Britni

M Patterson, Kiley Andrade, Samuel Coons, Emily Coons, Natalie Coons, Alexander, Caleb, Lillian, Jasmin

Dodson, Cecilia Sample Bergren, Hailey Joy, Jaydon Joy, and great-grandchildren Kaden Moffitt and

Dustin Moffitt. Gene is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Gene is preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Patterson, his parents, Ralph Patterson and Anna Helen

Patterson and his younger brother, Timothy Patterson.
