Stanley David Recht, born and raised in Hollister, California, passed away unexpectedly in August 2025. He was a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend.

For over 20 years, Stanley worked as a mechanic, a trade that perfectly matched his natural talent for fixing things and his deep love for engines. He was most at home under the hood of a truck or out on the trails, four-wheeling with friends. His passions were simple and true: his trucks, and most of all, his two beloved children, Savanna (17) and Jacob (11), who were his pride and joy.

Stanley had a heart as big as his personality. Always available for a two-hour conversation, day or night. Or chatting up a stranger in line, Stanley was the life of the party everywhere he went. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and never lost his sense of humor, even in the hardest of times.

He is survived by his children, Savanna and Jacob Recht; his siblings Kevin, Shelly, Lizzy, and Misty; and his many nieces and nephews: Devon, Aundria, Tristan, Michael, Felicia, Fallon, Chris, Matt, Ben, Johnathan, Cody, Kaylee, Samantha, and Kyle. He leaves behind countless friends and family members who loved him deeply.

A private service will be held for immediate family
