Mario Casas Orozco, 70, of Hollister, CA, passed away peacefully on his birthday July 10, 2025 in his home surrounded by his devoted wife, loving daughters, cherished grandchildren, siblings and beloved family members. Mario is survived by his wife Maria Orozco. His four daughters Julissa Orozco-Valdez (husband Steven Valdez), Verena Orozco (husband Luis Espinoza), Marisol Orozco, and Vanessa Zuniga (husband David Zuniga). His grandchildren: Nyssa Orozco, Riana Gutierrez, Deevanny Medina, Hazel Zuniga, Mario Medina, Harmony Zuniga, Heaven Zuniga, Hope Zuniga and Julian Espinoza. His surviving Siblings: Elvira Orozco, Chame Orozco, Alicia Ortega, Estela Orozco, Sandra Orozco and Veronica Orozco. His beloved nieces : Loren Orozco, Erendida Martinez and Lizette Covarrubias.

Mario was a loving husband, caring father and devoted grandfather. Even in his last moments he looked at his wife with the same admiration and tenderness that he had from the beginning and stated to his wife she was the love of his life and she will always be.

To his grandchildren he was a warm embraced story teller, role model and a friend. He showed nothing but unconditional love when it came to his grandchildren. His presence was a gift, his words carried comfort and his funny jokes filled our hearts. His love extended far beyond the walls of his own home. He was a father not only to his own children, whom he loved unconditionally, but also to many others who were blessed by his guidance, kindness, and unwavering support. He leaves behind a legacy of love who have been impacted by his presence. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on in the hearts and memories of his family and friends.

With love, we will honor his memory beginning on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Grunnagle Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to a viewing at 3:00pm, followed by the Rosary at 5:00pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11:00am at Saint Benedict’s Church.

Burial will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10:00am at Calvary Cemetery, located at 1100 Hillcrest Road in Hollister, California.
