Scott James Kennedy Obituary

Scott James Kennedy, age 60, of Hollister, California, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born on July 22, 1964, in Sacramento, California, Scott was the eldest son of Barbara and James Kennedy. He grew up in Morgan Hill, California, where he enjoyed being a member of the Live Oak High School marching band.

At age 18, Scott joined the UA Local 393 Union and went on to dedicate 37 years to the HVAC industry—a field he was deeply passionate about. He was most recently a respected foreman at ACCO.

Scott met his wife, Kellie, in eighth grade, where they were bandmates. They married in March of 1992 and built a life and a home together in Hollister, California, where they raised two daughters, Madison and Shelby. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Scott found joy in supporting his daughters’ sporting events, camping, fishing, and “tinkering” around the garage.

He was known for his loyalty, reliability, and sense of humor. Scott believed in hard work, keeping his word, and always showing up for those he loved—especially his family. His life and legacy live on through his wife, Kellie; daughters, Madison and Shelby; granddaughter, Dakota; and his brother, Patrick.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished in the minds and hearts of those he leaves behind.

"To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die."

"I’ll remember for you."
