Ramiro "Rami" Acevedo, 41, of Hollister, California, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Benedict's Church in Hollister, with Father Heibar officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, located at 1100 Hillerest Road, Hollister, CA. A visitation will also be held at St. Benedict's Church on the same day, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home.
Rami was born on January 22, 1984, in Michoacán, Mexico, to Ramiro and Silvia Acevedo.He grew up in Hollister and graduated from Hollister High School in 2002. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Monterey Bay, graduating with cum laude honors. Rami dedicated his professional life to helping others, working as a Financial Advisor for JP Morgan throughout his career.
He had a deep love for music, food, traveling, and playing golf, but nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family and friends.
Rami is lovingly remembered by his parents, Ramiro and Silvia Acevedo; his twin brother, Victor Hugo Acevedo; his brother, Andres Acevedo; his sister, Lulu Dunton; his sister-in-law, Sandra Hernandez; his brother-in-law, Timothy Dunton; and his beloved nieces and nephew-Jeanette Acevedo, Sofia Acevedo, Ariana Dunton, and Eligh Dunton.
The Acevedo family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love, support, and prayers during this time of loss.
