Obituary of Rick E. Perry

Rick Ernest Perry 67, of Hollister, CA passed away on the morning of June 16, 2025, by his wife’s side. He was born on September 27th, 1957, in Salinas, CA to Manuel and Ida Perry and is one of four brothers to Joe, Scott and Rob Perry. At 24 years old he married the love of his life, Annette, and went on to have four children together, Cody, Samantha, Ashley and Michelle. Rick was a big family man and always surrounded by his brothers, wife, children and friends. He loved to get everyone together, was the life of the party and always up for a good time. His favorite saying was, “Just call daddy at 1-800-FUN!” When you walked into a party you would hear him if you didn’t see him. He loved a friendly battle of wits on any topic with anyone who was up for the challenge. If you ever had the pleasure of having one of these passionate discussions, you know the man was never wrong. Rick loved to travel and was an avid hunter. Some of his most cherished trips include: hunting Red Stagg in New Zealand with his family and friends, an African hunt with his wife Annette and duck hunting with Dylan. His yearly trip to New Mexico to visit Coy, Katrina and the gang at H&H Private Land Hunts was the hunt he looked forward to the most every year. Lake trips were another way he loved to spend his free time. He frequently spent summer weekends at San Justo Reservoir and Lake Don Pedro but Lake Shasta was his favorite. Nothing put a bigger smile on his face than the annual August Perry lake trip at Lake Shasta. Rick is survived by his wife Annette, and children, Cody, Samantha, Ashley and Michelle. His grandchildren are Ava, Ryle, Dakota, Stella, Cole, Trey, Rome and Olivia. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe, Scott and Rob.
