Ken loved his family and was proud that all three of he and Valerie's children valued reading and education the way that he did, Ken had such a broad range of knowledge and interests. Whether the subject was nature, history, sports, politics or another of the wide ranging topics that interested him, Ken not only had a little bit to add to the discussion, he had a lot to add. His quiet demeanor hid a unique sense of humor, that always made him fun to be around. Bob first met Ken when he answered a call for an electrician at San Juan Grammar School. I met him later due to our mutual interests in native plants, historical preservation and San Juan politics. Later we became good friends with he and Valerie. We felt privileged to be involved enough with his family to see his strength as he fought to continue to enjoy life while making valuable contributions to society. We will miss Ken and wish strength to his family in this difficult time.
