Obituary of Maria Rosario Robles
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Maria R. Robles, 63, of Atenguillo, Jalisco, who left this world on January 18, 2025, in Stanford Hospital. She grew up in a strong-minded family surrounded by the true meaningful values of perseverance and kindness. She was a loving community bus driver for MV Transportation for several years and made everyone who stepped inside her bus feel safe and protected. These are just two of the many aspects that shaped her into the selfless and nurturing woman we all cherished.
Maria truly dedicated her life to her family and to making everyone’s days easier to manage even if it meant for just a second through her sincere warmth and compassion. Whether it was cheering on and supporting her children, cooking delicious meals that filled the house with love, or simply lending a listening ear to those in need, she gave everything of herself wholeheartedly. Her laughter could brighten the darkest of days and will forever be such a beautiful melody that will continue to echo in our hearts.
Maria is survived by her equally loving husband, Aurelio Nunez, and her children, Alonso Curiel, Daniel Robles, Betty Alvarez, Adrian Nunez, and Esmeralda Nunez, who were the center of her world. Maria also leaves behind her brother, Freddy, her four grandchildren, Damian, David, Aaron, and Isabella, other family, and along with countless friends and acquaintances whose lives she touched so deeply as well.
Throughout her battle with cancer, Maria continued to display her caring nature for others, an immense amount of strength, and hope. She serves as a reminder to treasure the simplest of moments, those who surround us, and take on any challenges with courage, just as she did.
We will gather to honor her memory at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025 from 3 pm - 7 pm. Mass will follow on the next day, February 3rd, 2025 at 11 am at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Her last resting place will be in Mexico alongside her parents and brother as she wished.
While our hearts are heavy and aching at her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, watching over us with her love and still blessing us with her warmth. She will forever be our angel, our guiding light, and the heart of our family.
Rest in peace, Maria. Your love will live on in all of us.
