Obituary of Dorotha Mott Clayton

Dorotha Mott Clayton was called to Heaven on June 30, 2016, in Bella Vista, Arkansas. She was a former resident of Hollister, Tres Pinos, and Paicines for 50 Years. She was born in Dustin, Oklahoma on September 25, 1922. Dorotha met and married Robert M. (Bob) Clayton in Oklahoma in 1941 and they moved to Paicines, California in 1942. They moved to Tres Pinos in 1960 and then to Hollister in 1973. She was a member of Sunnyslope Christian Center Church for 50 years before moving to Arkansas with her youngest daughter, Veronica. She worked as a cook for Hollister Convalescent Hospital until her retirement in 1993. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emmit and Violet Mott; her husband Robert and two sons, Hobert Charles (Chuck) Clayton and Johnny Lee Clayton; as well as 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Dorotha is survived by her children: Robert D. (Bob) Clayton and wife Trudy of Tahoe City, Nevada; David W. Clayton and wife Mary of Stockton, California; Dorotha (Ann) Wilkerson and husband Carl of Creswell, Oregon; Nona S. Browning and husband Robert of Southwest City, Missouri; Allen A. Clayton and wife Sharon of Valley Springs, California; Carol E. Kirkpartick and husband Arthur of Hollister; Donna R. Stephens and husband James of Hollister; and Veronica L. Thurman of Bentonville, Arkansas. She is also survived by 2 sisters, 1 brother, 29 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service at IOOF Cemetery in Hollister, California on Friday, July 8, 2016, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mabie Skilled Nursing Facility, Patient Activity Fund, 911 Sunset Drive, Hollister, CA 95023 or c/o the mortuary.
