Mary Ornelas Jimenez left us to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born to the late Epifanio and Guadalupe Ornelas on December 1, 1936 in Colorado. She is preceded in death by three brothers; Gene Ornelas, Ralph Ornelas and Stevie Ornelas as well as two sisters, Frances Aguilar and Irene Ledesma. She is survived by her husband Alfredo Jimenez, and children; Rachel Zamora (Frank), Ruth Hines (Ed), Margie Robles, Caroline Quintero (Gerardo), Abel Robles (Heidi), Sarah Ibanez (Alejo), Ezekiel Robles Sr. (Patsy), Mark Robles, Mary Helen Vargas, and Fidel Vargas (Lenore), as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Delia Cruz, John Ornelas, David Ornelas, Frank Ornelas, Annie Ornelas, and many nieces and nephews. Mary loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed raising many animals on her ranch. Shelby was her favorite lamb, often referring to her as an adopted daughter. She was an active member of her church who loved to sing and praise and worship the Lord . A self –described prayer warrior, she faithfully prayed for those she cared about. She always encouraged others to keep the faith by reminding them that there’s “POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS”. Amen. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 6th, at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm with services beginning at 7:00 pm. Burial will be on Wednesday, at 1:00 pm at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman, CA.
